Intake Appointments

Intake appointments take place once an application is complete. All adults who will be involved with our service attend separate meetings without the cild(ren) present to provide the necessary information regarding their situation and review WCAA policies and expectations. To proceed with service, they are required to sign a service agreement indicating their understanding of program expectations and their willingness to abide by these expectations.

A tour of the visitation space is available at the time of intake. Children may attend a separate Child Orientation to tour our facility and meet one of the staff members who will be present during their first visit or exchange.

Parent Orientation

A Parent Orientation is an intake meeting where each party involved with the child(ren) comes separately to the 385 River Avenue location to meet with staff regarding the specific needs of their family. Parent Orientations take place whenever there are two parties requesting access for visitation or exchanges for children. WCAA services may be utilized by parents, and in some circumstances by step-parents, grandparents and siblings.
