WCAA is a non-profit, charitable organization. We facilitate contact between children and their parents or guardians in a protected, neutral, and child-focused environment.
What We DO:
Offer supervised visits and supervised exchanges of children between parents or guardians where there has been evidence of interpersonal violence.
Act as an independent body to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
Provide a protective and comfortable environment in which visitation and exchanges can occur.
What we DO NOT DO:
Make assessments or judgments about whether a parent should or should not be supervised.
Negotiate access conditions between parties, provide counselling, act as messengers, or mediate disputes.
Provide visitation or exchanges for non-parents, grandparents, siblings, or other non-legal guardians.
Provide service where there is active CFS involvement (i.e. guardianship, active investigation, etc.)
