A Supervised Visit is…
between child(ren) and their non-custodial parent or guardian, which is monitored at all times by a trained WCAA monitor. These visits take place in our protected, neutral, and child-focused facility. We stagger the arrival and departure times between you and the other parent or guardian to prevent contact.
Families can schedule a two-hour visit every week.
Types of Supervision
WCAA provides different types of supervised visits depending on a family’s needs.
-
WCAA assigns each family a Visitation Monitor who is required to remain with your child(ren) at all times throughout the visit.
-
A telephone or video call is monitored between child(ren) and their non-custodial parent or guardian. The Visitation Monitor is required to be on the call at all times.
Reminder:
WCAA does not negotiate access arrangements, please consider what type of supervision and frequency is best for your situation.
If obtaining a court order for visitation, a judge may be able to help you determine what type of supervision and frequency your family needs.
If you’re undergoing a third-party family assessment, the assessor may also be able to help find the right type and frequency of supervision for your situation.
